Club Bike Rides

We do not offer year round structured bike sessions at present

Indoor Cycling
During the winter months we offer once a week indoor cycling sessions, which in recent years have been held in the Gym at Rockcliffe Hall . The Winter 2019 / 2020 sessions will be posted nearer the time

Group Supported Rides
During the summer months we have a series of group rides suitable for all abilites. These are arranged through the club members facebook page. Meet time and the venue will be highlighted by the ride organiser before each event. This is usually Broken Scar or The Mowden Pub.
Each ride is approximately 20-30 km.Not all of the rides are coached.

Saturday Rides

Club members also often meet At Broken Scar Car park 8am (9am in Winter) Saturday mornings, this is also organised on our Facebook page so check for latest details. Please ensure you bring everything you will need for the maintenance of bike, food and drink for on the bike and a small amount a cash if there is a coffee stop. Please note everyone is responsible for their own safety.

Each ride usually lasts between 2 and 4 hours (from 20 to 40 miles), for the longer rides we will aim to have a café stop to refuel so everyone makes it back together!

There are usually two groups (numbers dependant) to cater for faster/slower paces.

We show good bike etiquette, making sure new members are supported – and don’t leave anyone behind.
