Any cyclist with a bit of experience knows that top performance requires more than a weekly training routine.

Consider the circumstances. Optimum physical conditions and good materials are extremely important. Talent cannot be denied. Inspiration and concentration lead to flow - the perception of everything being effortless, exceeding your own expectations. With the CycleForce Flow, Tacx announces the start of a new generation of ergotrainers.

This trainer is the result of knowledge and inspiration, combined with innovation. Heart rate, power, speed and pedalling frequency are measured and visualised on the modern display on the Flow computer. These data provide an important instrument for targeting and improving physical fitness, efficiently - resulting in optimum performance. During development much attention focused on the information that appears on the display. The brake indicator, for example, shows brake performance in graphic form. A histogram shows the slope, enabling the cyclist to view the settings at a glance. Moreover, you can select the training information you want to display.

Another point of interest is the simple operation. By setting the power or slope resistance, you can adjust your program while training, to suit your own needs. You can even calibrate the brake to ensure accurate power measurements at all times. Flow comes with a matching-colour Skyliner front wheel support, which corrects the position of the bike ensuring a natural cycling posture.

To use the heart rate facility on this trainer, you will need to order a separate transmitter. We recommend the Polar T31 Transmitter/Electrode Belt Set - Non Coded

Hello everyone its Adrian Marshall here from the triathlon club,

Just mailing to say that I've at last got round to getting routes together for club rides, I've got 10 and the plan is to get these mapped out, printed and laminated so that everyone has got one. This will help if anyone gets lost, turns up and no one else is there or if the group wants to cycle further than the actual route - sorry its taken so long but its been more time consuming than I thought !
Will have copies done for swim session on 12th April.
I know Richard has listed some rides so we will have plenty to go at.

Also is it worth having some volunteers to take out the slower group so that its not always one person ? we could do a week each & have a 5 week turnaround (I don't mind)

Cheers-Ade

Hi All

Well done those of you who came out on Saturday 14th March, give yourself a pat on the back. For the ones that did not come you missed a good ride out. We all went on a steady ride to Northallerton, here the group split into two, one group went for a cuppa then went on a slightly longer ride back, the second group pressed on, despite the strong winds and lack of refreshment and and successfully completed a ride of about 55 miles. There might have been a couple of climbs in there as well, but you would have to ask those who completed the ride .

Hope to do a long ride on March 28th if anybody would like to come long please just drop me a line or meet at the usual place.

Hi all

For the members who missed the bike ride , the weather was not bad at all, even warm on the way back. I have just joined the club , I used to be in Cleveland tri club , I have been doing tri's for a couple of years and would say for the people who are not yet going out on the bike rides summer is coming and the season is not that far away, please start soon. If you need any advice on setting up , repairs and training I would gladly help, we need more people out on Saturday mornings to make a couple of groups as the pace for the quick ones is too slow, but too fast for the slow ones. We all get something from the ride as we will meet at the same cafe stop, please come along enjoy the ride and the pit stops.

Yours Richard Marsay ps if help is needed you can email me on

Hi all,

If enough people were interested in having two cycle groups on some occasions, where some can do the standard route and others can do an extended route with the aim of starting off at the same point and hopefully meeting halfway at the same cafe, then this could probably be arranged.
