SWIMMING AT BRANKSOME BACK ON
Just to confirm that we are now back into the normal routine at weekends with swimming at the following times at Branksome School:
Intermediate - 4-5pm
Development - 5-6pm
Advanced - 6-7pm
If you haven’t swum with us before, all you have to do is choose your ability level and join us.
SWIMMING ON MONDAYS
Also at Branksome, 6.30pm - 7.30 pm.
GOOD LUCK TO MICHELLE
Michelle S is representing Great Britain in the World Biathlon Championships (two runs and a sea swim) in Monaco this weekend. Georgie and Andrew S are going to support, so hope you all have a great time.
GOOD LUCK AT PETERLEE
A sizeable contingent contesting one of the last events on this year’s calendar.
AND GOOD LUCK IN THE GNR
Still more members doing the Great North Run on Sunday. Have a good one.
OPEN WATER SWIMMING - THAT’S IT FOR THIS YEAR
A sure sign that autumn is here but we’ve had a good season at Ellerton, rounded off with a really nice get-together and meal at Catterick on Wednesday. Thanks to Andy C and Liz for organising this. A warm welcome to Pat and Halina who braved the chilly lake and joined us for the meal.
TOUR OF BRITAIN
A great day for Darlington . . . and Darlington Tri. We certainly got noticed with our swish new banner. Thanks to Rorie for taking charge of the design work and to everyone who helped out on the stall in High Row. Stuart’s Black Hawk bikes were a popular draw.
Also congratulations to Clare, Claire, the Michelles, Liz and Georgie who got on thier bikes to help lead off the stage.
SPINNING POSSIBILITIES
We’re on the case and looking at prices. Hopefully we will be able to resume these popular sessions soon.
ALDI BIKE KIT
Thanks to Gareth for informing us that Aldi have a new set of bike kit on sale. Some good bargains to be had.
HELL OF THE NORTH TRAINING RIDE
Something we talked about after swimming on Wednesday. Any takers for a do-it-yourself club sportive in the near future while the weather is still reasonable? Everyone who did the official version a couple of weeks ago enjoyed it so much they want to do it again.
Good training and see you on Sunday.
